Dear Friends of the Canary Islanders Heritage Society of Louisiana, I am from the Canary Islands, and I left part of my heart at Louisiana where I lived from 1988 to 1994. During this time I was doing research at LSU (Baton Rouge) for my Ph.D. and during the last two years (93-94) I became a Fulbright Post-Doctoral Fellow at LSU. Later on I moved to The University of Tokyo (Japan), and returned to the Canary Islands on 1997 to work on volcano monitoring. I miss very much my lovely time at Louisiana, and I hope that I can returned one day. I wish to become a member of the Canary Islanders Heritage Society of Louisiana. How can I do it from here? Cheers from Teide Volcano
Hello Nemesio, I met you when you were at LSU, and on your recommendation I stayed at your relative's hotel in Puerto de la Cruz in 1990 when I visited the islands. I never could understand why you would come to Louisiana to study vulcanology ) I trust all is well with you and your family. Abrazos de Luisiana, Paul Newfield <skip@thebrasscannon.com>
