The Louisiana State Archives Genealogical Conference 2007

The Louisiana State Archives Genealogical Conference 2007 will take place Saturday, June 23. Pre-registration should be made by contacting Louisiana Secretary of State, State Archives/Research Library, 3851 Essen Lane, Baton Rouge, LA 70804-9125. If you are part of a non-profit historical/genealogical organization or public library in Louisiana and would like to sell your genealogical publications at the conference, contact Bill Stafford at bstafford@sos.louisiana.gov, phone (225) 922-1208. For more information on the conference, contact archives@sos.louisiana.gov .

The conference starts at 8AM with a book sale, and the speakers begin at 9AM.  The first speaker is Dr. Charles Noland, the Archivist of the New Orleans Diocese.  Other groups that will have speakers there include the State Land Office, Ancestry.com, and the State Archives Research Library.  There is no charge, and no reservation is required.
