I am new to this forum. I have ACOSTA ancestors in my maternal line which I will be happy to discuss. Presently however I am attempting to solve a mystery. My great-grandfather Theodule Luc MICHEL married to Marie Eveline BABIN adopted Victoria SAVARY, b. 13 Jul 1864, bt. 23 Jul 1864 in Ascension Parish, [ASC-12, 326; Dioceses of Baton Rouge, v. 10, p. 520] who was the daughter of Victorin SOVERE [SALVERDA/SALVEDO] and Felicite ACOSTA.
The connection, I think has't to be through the ACOSTA as there are no SAVARY lines in my direct line, so I began to look for the birth of Felicite ACOSTA which I could not find.
I am wondering if help is available to help me figure out the relationship.
